Main Plenary Room

May 2 @ 10:00 am 11:30 am AST

The two-part panel discussion will explore ICAO’s role in supporting States to achieve the long-term global aspirational goal (LTAG) and reduce international aviation emissions, notably through its Assistance, Capacity-Building, and Training Programme on Sustainable Aviation Fuel (ACT-SAF). The discussion will spotlight the need for efficient capacity-building activities for global SAF deployment, emphasizing contributions to ICAO’s assistance and capacity-building efforts, particularly through the ACT-SAF programme. Following this, the subsequent 45-minute session will focus on ICAO’s “Finvest Hub” initiative, aimed at facilitating enhanced access to investment capacities and funding for projects driving international aviation decarbonization. Participants will gain insights into the operationalization and implementation of the Finvest Hub, including establishing a platform for decarbonization projects, fostering public-private partnerships, and providing technical assistance and capacity-building on financing.
